About Agniveer Vayu Scheme

The Agniveer Vayu scheme is a short-service recruitment program introduced by the Government of India. Selected candidates serve for a period of 4 years in the Indian Air Force.

 Eligibility Criteria

🎓 Educational Qualification

For Science Stream:

  • 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, and English
  • Minimum 50% marks in aggregate and English
    OR
  • 3-year Diploma in Engineering
    OR
  • 2-year Vocational course with Physics & Mathematics

For Non-Science Stream:

  • 10+2 in any stream
  • Minimum 50% marks in aggregate and English

🎂 Age Limit

  • Candidates must be between 17.5 to 21 years (as per official notification for the intake year)


🏃‍♂️ Physical Standards

  • Good physical and mental health
  • Required height and weight standards as per IAF norms
  • Ability to complete physical fitness tests

 Selection Process

The selection process for Agniveer Vayu Intake 2026 includes multiple stages:

Online Written Test (CBT)

  • Objective type questions
  • Science: Physics, Mathematics, English
  • Non-Science: English, Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA)
